MAINTENANCE OF FORX TABLE AND KITCHEN UTENSILS

FORX products are subject to the same standard rules as all dishes. Some recommendations are described on this page, but we always recommend taking into account the recommendations of the detergent manufacturers. Our recommendations are of a general nature, but following them will ensure longevity and quality service life of the dishes.

PORCELAIN AND ARTICLES THEREOF

We recommend washing all ceramic and porcelain products by hand. Avoid using harsh materials and abrasive cleaners. When washing porcelain dishes, we recommend not to put many dishes in the sink at the same time. This will prevent scratches. Porcelain products decorated with gold or platinum must be cleaned with extreme care and attention. Most stains and dirt are easily washed off with warm, soapy water. If cleaning requires cleaning agents, we recommend following the recommendations of the detergent manufacturers. Manufacturers of quality detergents indicate on the packaging whether porcelain dishes can be washed.
If you decide at your own risk to wash such dishes in the dishwasher, we recommend placing them as far apart as possible and washing them at a maximum temperature of 140 FUse the shortest possible program for washing, and carefully drain and dry after washing.

GLASS AND ARTICLES THEREOF

We recommend washing glassware with vinegar and water mixed in a ratio of: ½ a cup of white vinegar in 4.5 liters of water. When rinsing the dishes, add a little white vinegar to the water to remove the soap residue and make the glassware shine.

Glassware can be washed with a solution of salt and vinegar (1 tablespoon of salt and 2 tablespoons of vinegar - 1 in 1 water). It is enough to clean and just wet salt or its warm solution. To make the dishes shine, they are rinsed with cold water.

Washed dishes are wiped with a dry cloth to prevent stains from evaporating water on the surface. Mugs and thin glasses need 2 wipes: one for cleaning, the other for polishing.

We do not recommend washing glassware in the dishwasher.

STAINLESS STEEL

Stainless steel tools are extremely easy to maintain. All our products are made of high grade 304 stainless steel. It is a strong and durable metal produced by mixing plain steel with chromium, which protects against rust, and nickel, which protects against acids.
You can safely wash all stainless steel tools in the dishwasher. Some cutlery is painted with a special paint that is environmentally friendly and edible. The paint layer is applied on a specially prepared steel surface, so it is durable and also does not rub off when washed in the dishwasher.
We recommend that you always remove food residues from tools after food, as prolonged contact with certain materials can leave stains. Do not store tools in water or humid environments. If the tools are no longer shiny, use a stainless steel polishing paste or powder and a soft cloth. With regular maintenance, such tools will last an extremely long time.

STAINLESS STEEL WITH GOLDEN OR SILVERED DECORATIVE ELEMENTS

Such tools are a really great table decoration, but they also require more care.
We do not recommend washing such products together with stainless steel products, as chemical reactions between them can cause corrosion. These tools can be washed in the dishwasher, but need to be thoroughly wiped and dried to remove stains.
Over time, a layer of more expensive metal can wear off, so we recommend that you follow all maintenance rules to prolong its life.

PLASTIC BEVERAGES

We do not recommend storing plastic containers in direct sunlight (eg in a car on a hot summer day) as this encourages the release of chemicals into the contents of the container. If we are talking about plastic drinks, it is not recommended to keep carbonated drinks in them.
We recommend washing such bottles with warm running water without the use of abrasive detergents or rough cleaning tools. If you have a drink in a plastic bottle, a soda solution or diluted vinegar is the best way to remove the unpleasant odors. Hold overnight and rinse with warm water in the morning and the unpleasant odor will disappear.

SILICONE AND ARTICLES THEREOF

New silicone cooking utensils can have a strong odor, so we recommend annealing them in boiling water before first use.

The tools are easy to wash with non-aggressive detergents and soft sponges, leaving no stains or other traces of dirt on the silicone part. Tools must be drained after washing.

Silicone tools with wooden handles must not be dishwasher safe as this can damage the wooden part.

Silicone tools with stainless steel handles are dishwasher safe. All our products are made of high grade 304 stainless steel. It is a strong and durable metal produced by mixing plain steel with chromium, which protects against rust, and nickel, which protects against acids.

WOOD AND ARTICLES THEREOF

Wooden cutlery should not be washed in a dishwasher or in very hot water. We recommend lubricating new wooden tools with oil, which when absorbed protects the tools from mechanical damage and environmental impact. To preserve the longevity of the tools, we recommend repeating the process periodically every 3-4 months.

Wash tools in lukewarm water with non-aggressive detergents and soft cloths. After washing, dry well and dry.
